Static Surface Electromyography and Neuromuscular Reeducation
نویسنده
چکیده
Static surface electromyography can provide an objective test of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar posterior areas that needs to be performed within a clear clinical or ergonomic context. It is of great help in postural assessment in the standing position in people with healthy backs or postural dysfunctions. The author has devised a protocol that allows statistically based treatment and more valid clinical interpretation. Most often, static surface electromyography is a necessary precursor to dynamic surface electromyography of any area of clinical concern. When appropriate, neuromuscular reeducation with surface electromyography biofeedback can be performed to improve resting tonus dysfunctions observed on the static surface electromyography testing.

Effects of Concentric and Eccentric Strength Training on Electromyography Activity of the Knee Agonist –Antagonist Muscle
Purpose: An appropriate activity of the knee agonist -antagonist muscles is important to resist against abnormal abduction-adduction moments loads around knee joint and reduce the risk of knee injuries. Exercise training has been commonly used as an intervention to improve neuromuscular activity within the synergic and/or agonist-antagonist muscles. However, maximizing the effectiveness of exer...

Needle and surface electromyography are 2 distinct modalities. They are both electro-physiological techniques aimed at the investigation of neuromuscular dysfunction. The clinical utilization of each technique is insuffi ciently known to the nonspecialist or to the typical patient. The present article aims at presenting a succint description of each modality and the differences between the two ...
